I have been hearing on local radio recently about a new service Asda is offering in my area.Click & Collect.I know this isn't unique in my area or in most over areas but this purely click & collect facility is one of only 2 in the country .
Well as it isn't far from home and i needed a few bits i thought i would give it ago.
I don't know about you but even if I'm really disciplined i always come out with a couple of extra items so i was able to order the exact items i needed and just collect it from this purpose made unit which just consisted of a freezer a chiller a desk and a computer and a very helpful man to push the trolley to my car.
We have click and collect at our local tesco, but I've never used it as they charge £2 and the cheapest delivery is only £3. Do they still swap out of stock items for a substitute and then charge you the lower price, as if you are getting lots of value items it can work out well?
ReplyDeletethey did do 1 substitution and it was for something valued at a lot less and totally different to what i wanted so it was refunded.i wouldnt normall do this but it was free and i only wanted to get what i needed. x
DeleteWe have some stores that offer something similar here in US but it has an extra processing fee to get it ready for you, and it never seemed to be worth it, in my opinion.
ReplyDeletethis is a free service until the end of march,i wouldnt use it if i had to pay.x
DeleteTesco have been doing that for a while now in my area, not heard of it from Asda though. There's a new Asda being built here, perhaps they will operate that service from there.
